My Story!

I have been on a wieght loss roller coaster since the birth of my twins four years ago. I tried various wieghtloss programs with no real lasting success.
I would lose a pound here or there but would always gain it back along with a pound or two more. I was guilty of skipping meals to lose weight. I was guilty of binging while promising myslef I would really stick to a diet tomorrow. I was guilty of thinking I looked "good enough" for someone my age. But I wasn't happy o...r healthy!
I was tired, depressed and frustrated with all weight and fitness. I didn't know what to do and just wanted to give up. About that time my niece, Bonnie, started the 21 day Fix program and was experiencing great success. I had tried this program in the past but hadn't really given it 100% of my effort. We decided to create a private Facebook group where we would hold each other accountable by posting pictures of all the food we ate along with our after workout pictures. It was just the support and motivation I needed to be accountable and stick to the program. Within four weeks I lost eight pounds - the most I weight I have  lost on a diet in my entire life. ( In the past I  lost weight but it was always result of life situations that caused me stress, not from dieting.)
I realized I needed to rethink my attitude about deiting. I needed to learn how to eat good nutritional food in the corrrect portion sizes with the correct amount of protiens, carbohdrates, vegtables, fruits and good fats. I needed to realize that eating was okay!
My attitude changed from thinking I had to diet to realizing that this type of eating was a way of life. A way for me to be healthy and happy and feel good. To top if off I wasn't hungry at all!
I eat three meals a day, two snacks, work out thirty minutes a day and I feel better than I have in years. I FEEL HAPPY AND HEALTHY AT 49!
I am not done yet. I look forward to being healtheir (and loosing the few pounds I gained over Christams) in 2016!!
